We started with one kid, one chair, and a really good idea.
The Good Hair Day Project provides free hair styling to kids in Los Angeles whose families can't comfortably afford it — and funds that work through party stylings for kids whose families can.
An idea, at fifteen.
The Good Hair Day Project started at a mirror — our founder's own, on the morning of her quinceañera. Getting her hair done for the biggest day of her fifteenth year felt transformative. She walked into her party feeling like the most confident version of herself, and that feeling stayed with her long after the music stopped.
It also raised a question that wouldn't let go: how many girls in LA County skip their own milestones — birthdays, quinces, photo days, first communions — because a morning like that feels out of reach?
The Good Hair Day Project was built to close that gap. We borrowed the one-for-one model from TOMS, adapted it for celebrations, and opened our first chair soon after. Every party you book for your own kid funds one gifted for a kid who'd otherwise go without.

Dignity First
No kid we serve will ever feel like a charity case. Our gifted parties are indistinguishable from our paid ones — same setup, same products, same care.
Radical Simplicity
No application forms. No income verification. A quick note from a parent, neighbor, teacher, or anyone who knows the kid — and we book it. That's it.
Local Roots
We only serve LA County — because we want to know the neighborhoods, the schools, the partners, and the families we show up for.

Every package is a full getting-ready party experience — hosted, styled, and built around your child's big day. Each paid booking funds one gifted party for a kid in our community who'd otherwise go without.
The Graduation Experience
A getting-ready party built around graduation day — preschool moving-up, elementary, eighth-grade, or high school. Styling that holds through the ceremony, works with the cap, and stays camera-ready for every photo before, during, and after.
The Birthday Event
The signature birthday getting-ready party. Shampoo, the styling of their choice (soft blowout, curls, sleek straight, or a simple updo), sparkle touches, and a little ceremony before the birthday kid walks into their day feeling like the most confident version of themselves.
The Professional Do
For the biggest moments: quinceañeras, first communions, flower-girl duty, junior bridesmaid roles, formal dinners and milestone events. A polished, long-wearing look with elevated finish, sparkle accents, and a keepsake moment to mark the day.
The Mobile Party
We bring the whole party to your venue — your home, your backyard, or the party hall. Up to six kids, each with their own getting-ready moment, sparkle touches, and time in the chair. Birthday girl gets the longest turn. Great for siblings, bestie crews, quince court rehearsals, and group birthdays.
